1Momma (3)Boys is all about the homeschooling lifestyle journey of one momma, and her three boys.
Three? But, why? You have two sons.
Yes, three. Because, well, our marriage--that "boy" I call my husband, is just as much--if not, more--foundational to this journey as our two sons we've chosen to homeschool. Because, in fact, that "boy" I call my husband sparked the idea, which ignitated the flame he sensed burning within me to merge teaching, nursing, wife-ing, and mommy-ing into one massive (albeit, messy) ball of fire.
Because, for me, this journey is about three boys (not two)...
...and God, Our Father.
1Momma (3)Boys is a collection of our curriculum--professionally and personally inspired by others (religiously and academically) and ourselves--it's foundations (pedagogy and practice), it's layout (ever-evolving and completely imperfect curriculum maps, schedules, and themes), and it's application (units of learning, lesson plans, and excerptes from daily experiences).

Stephanie is a bubbly, yet stubborn, God-fearing elementary-educator-turned- nurse, with a fiery multi-facted passion for teaching/learning/growing alongside precious little brain beaners, nursing the hospitalized, exercising on the daily, and...being a Mrs. and Mommy more than anything.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, with an English minor from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, whereafter she taught in the 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms at Meadowbrook Elementary School of the Howard-Suamico school district. Recognizing a dual-calling, she later persued her degree in Nursing, and is currently employeed as a Registered Nurse at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay. She's a full-time educator by week and nurse all weekend long.

Brothers
Hudson (3) and Harrison (2) are our paradox--our crazy-beautiful, overtly obnoxious-and-astoudningly sweet, monstrulously mind-boggling yet simply sensical twosome. They are the lightening and the thunder, whilst simultaneously the calm to every storm. They show us innocence and grace, and remind us what's real. As we sit here contemplating how best to teach them about life, their pure existence teaches us...what life is all about.
So much alike, yet starkingly different, these two look alike littles (just 14 months apart) love chicken nuggets, their Bunny (Hudson) and B (Harrison), exploring their ever-energetic hearts out, and nighttime snuggles to movies. Hudson and Harrison hate sleep (aside from outside their own beds) and having their nose cleaned...They make our heads spin, our hearts melt, our teeth clench,...and inspire us in every way possible.

Combo creative-rugged-academic engineering nut, Casey is the realistic ying to Stephanie's idealistic yang. He is Hudson's and Harrison's visual definition of a real-life, superhero in-house. And, he is the initiator and No. 1 supporter of our homeschooling dream turned reality.
Casey is our provider and our rock. He shares with Stephanie a tough as nails belief in his faith, a firm comittment to his family, an insatiable love for adventure/nature/the outddors, and a mule-like determination to never give up--on the Lord, or each other.
Casey earned his Masters degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological Univeristy, and is currently employed as a Professional Engineer for GEI Consultants, Green Bay.
